The Figma Basics course is designed for anyone looking to get started with digital design and gain practical experience in interface and prototyping tools.

Figma is a platform used to create user interfaces for websites and apps. It’s known for its collaborative features, intuitive prototyping tools, and easy sharing capabilities.

Throughout the course, participants will get hands-on experience while learning the fundamentals of design and usability. They'll explore key Figma features such as Auto Layout, Responsive Design, Components, Variants, Styles, UI Elements, and Prototyping.

Participants will explore these topics through practical, hands-on assignments.

Nika Goguadze

UXUI designer, product designer, invited lecturer at Geolab, senior UI/UX designer of TNET, lecturer of the UI/UX Design course within the TBC education program. Has 6 years of work in the field of design. During this period, he worked on many projects in the international market, as well as with a number of Georgian companies.

The goal of the Figma Fundamentals course is to enable participants to use Figma for digital interface design, prototyping, and professional work.

Topics:

1: Introduction and Basics: What is UI/UX design, Figma interface, file structure and sharing methods, frames, artboards, shapes, inserting images, design settings

2: Wireframes / Grids and Responsive Design: Organizing layers, structuring files, responsive/adaptive design

3: Styles and Typography: Style guide, color psychology and structure, icons, typography structure

4: Auto Layout, Constraints, Alignment Tools

5: Boolean Operations, Masks, Effects, (drop/inner shadows, background/layer blurs, texture and noise), Multi-edit

6: Creating components (buttons, input fields, checkboxes/radio buttons), creating variants, component properties

7: Prototyping, Interactive Components

8: Final Project Presentation

Course Schedule

8 In-person meetings (16 hours)

From 18th June to 12th of July (2025)

Wednesdays: 19:00-21:00 & Saturdays: 13:00-15:00

Exact dates: June: 18, 21, 25, 28
July: 2, 5, 9, 12

Participants can use their personal or the institute’s equipment.

Access to the Figma platform will be provided by the institute.

The course has no prerequisites and requires no prior preparation.
